55th Meeting of the SACU Council of Ministers
The 55th Meeting of the SACU Council of Ministers that was held on 5 December 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa and chaired by the Minister of Finance of South Africa, Hon. Enoch Godongwana. The Meeting was attended by the SACU Ministers responsible for Finance, Trade and Industry who deliberated on key policy issues of great importance to the region’s integration and development, including progress on the SACU Strategic Plan, revenue-sharing arrangements as well as the Secretariat’s Revised and Proposed Budgets for 2025/26 and 2026/27 Financial Years.
The Vice-President and Minister of Finance of Botswana, H.E. Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe, and the Minister of Trade, Honourable Tiroyaone Ntsima, at the 55th Meeting of the SACU Council of Ministers and they were accompanied by senior government officials.
The Minister of Finance of Eswatini, Honourable Neil Rijkenberg, at the 55th Meeting of the SACU Council of Ministers, accompanied by senior government officials.
The Minister of Trade, Industry, Business Development and Tourism of Lesotho, Honourable Mokhethi Shelile and the Minister of Finance and Development Planning of Lesotho, Hon. Dr. Retselisitsoe Matlanyane, at the 55th Meeting of the SACU Council of Ministers and accompanied by senior government officials.
The Deputy Governor of the Bank of Namibia, Mr. Ebson Uanguta, representing the Minister of Finance of Namibia, Hon. Erica Shafudah, at the 55th Meeting of the SACU Council of Ministers. He was accompanied by senior government officials.
The Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition of South Africa, Honourable Parks Tau, at the 55th Meeting of the SACU Council of Ministers, accompanied by senior government officials.
The Chairperson of the SACU Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance of South Africa, Hon. Enoch Godongwana, together with the Chairperson of the SACU Commission and Deputy Director-General in South Africa’s Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, Amb.
